1 - 12 oz beer (I use what I don't want to drink...ha) at room temperature
1/4 cup sugar
3 and 1/2 cups of "Self Rising" flour
1/2 cup melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix well with a fork (batter may have some small lumps). Pour in a 9 inch greased bread pan (may use a non-stick spray). Spread batter evenly in pan reaching all four corners. Pour melted butter on top of mixture. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes. Oven times vary, so start checking at 50 minutes.

This is a hard, crusty, buttery bread that goes will with Red Beans and Rice and Soups! My fav!
