1-1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup peanut butter
7 cups cornflakes cereal
1, 12oz. can salted peanuts
2 cups (12 oz.) chocolate chips
3 T. peanut butter
2 T. shortening

Directions:
Directions:
In a 3 qt. saucepan combine corn syrup and sugars. Bring to a boil over medium heat; boil and stir for one minute. Remove from the heat; add peanut butter and mix well. Stir in the cereal and peanuts. Press into a greased 15x10 baking pan. In a microwave or double boiler, melt chocolate chips, peanut butter and shortening; pour over bars and quickly spread evenly. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or until set before cutting.

Yields 3 dozen.
