1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup Karo syrup
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1.5 cup pecan halves
1, 9" unbaked pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy; add salt, syrup, eggs and vanilla. Sprinkle pecans on bottom of pie crust. Pour filling over pecans. Bake at 450* for 10 minutes, reduce temperature to 350* and bake for 35 minutes longer. Outer edge of filling should be set. center should be slightly soft. Knife inserted in center should come out clean.
