SALAD
1/2 C Blanched, slivered almonds
3T Sugar
1 Head Butter Lettuce (in bite size pieces)
1/2 Head Romaine Lettuce (in bite size pieces)
1 C Celery Chopped
2 Green Onions, chopped
1 1/3 C Orange Segments - mandarin oranges work well - or tinned mandarin oranges

DRESSING
1/2 t Salt
1/4 C vegetable oil
1 T Parsley (chopped)
2 T Sugar
2 T Vinegar
Dash Pepper
Dash Tabasco Sauce

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a small pan over medium heat. cook almonds and sugar stirring constantly, until almonds are coated and sugar dissolved. Nuts will turn golden brown. You can store these - make ahead if you wish.
2. Mix dressing ingredients and chill
3. Combine lettuce, celery and onions. Just before serving add almonds and oranges. Toss all with dressing.
