2-1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 T. baking powder
1 T. sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 cup buttermilk or 1 cup milk with 1 T. vinegar

Directions:

Mix flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder and sugar. Cut in shortening and add yeast and milk. Mix well. Cut with biscuit cutter. Bake on greased sheet in preheated 400* oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
