4 to 5 lb. brisket
liquid smoke
alt and pepper
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
1 T. prepared mustard
2 T. sugar
1 chopped onion
1/4 cup margarine
1 T. lemon juice
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup ketchup

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle 1 to 3 tablespoons liquid smoke over brisket and pierce with a fork. Add salt and pepper. Wrap in foil. Bake at 325* for 3 to 4 hours. Slice across grain of meat about 1/4" thick. Cover with hot barbecue sauce. To make sauce combine water, vinegar, mustard, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, sugar, onion, margarine, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil. Simmer 20 minutes. Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and 1 teaspoon liquid smoke. Bring just to a boil. Pour over brisket and serve.
