Ingredients:  
4 c sugar
1 c Karo syrup
¾ c water
3 egg whites, well beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 c nuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, syrup and water in large sauce pan.
2. Cook to hard ball stage on thermometer.
3. Slowly add mixture to well beaten egg whites little by little with the mixer running on low.
4. Once you have all of the syrup mixture added in, turn mixer turn up to high speed and beat until candy losses its gloss; will take several minutes.
5. Add vanilla and chopped nuts (optional).
6. Drop by teaspoon on wax paper.
