1 lb spaghetti
1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 14 1/2 ox can diced tomatoes
1 15 oz can tomato sauce or 1 tin tomato paste and 1 tin water
1 diced onion
1 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp white sugar
2 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 1/2 tbsp capers
1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup red wine (optional)
1 dash cloves (optional)
bay leaf (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Saute diced onion in olive oil. Add garlic and saute. Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 45 to 60 minutes. Cook spaghetti in a large pot to al dente. Toss spaghetti and sauce. Serve warm.
