Into a BIG Pot -
2 gallons Tomatoes - Fresh, or low sodium canned
Fresh from the garden are the best, but home bottled tomatoes are a close 2nd.
1 cup dry onions or 2 cups fresh onions
1/3 cup dry basil
1/4 cup chicken base (Tone's brand is great)
1-2 Tbsp Granulated Garlic
Simmer for 30 minutes or more

Carefully transfer soup mixture to your blender and Blend until no bits of basil are visible
and then pour each blender-full into a 2nd Pot
Bring the new pot of soup back to a Simmer (add salt & pepper if desired)
then Whisk in 1-2 cups of cream

Enjoy with whole wheat Tomato Basil BREAD (or other bread/crackers)
- may be served with grated/crumbled cheese on top -
