1 cup butter or margarine (I use Crisco butter flavored shortening in the tub)
1 cup brown sugar (I use dark sugar)
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
3/4 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup sour cream
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat over to 350 degrees.

Sift together all dry ingredients. Set aside.

Cream sugar 'til fluffy. Beat in eggs (one at a time) and vanilla. Stir in sour cream. Gradually add dry ingredients. Add chocolate chips. Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. (I use parchment paper). Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Cool for two minutes on wire rack. Remove to parchment paper and continue cooling.
