1-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup boiling water
grated peel of one lemon
1-1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
Directions:
Directions:
Add sugar to boiling water; stir to dissolve sugar. Simmer 5 minutes. Cool. Add lemon peel and lemon juice. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.

By the glass:
1/4-1/3 cup lemon syrup base
3/4 cup cold water
ice cubes

By the pitcher:
2-2/3 cups lemon syrup base
5 cups cold water
ice cubes
