Ingredients:
4 small fresh sweet potatoes - whole

2 tablespoons butter
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white Karo syrup
About a tablespoon of Cinnamon Red Hearts Candy
A little bit of cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
With the skins on, bake the sweet potatoes in the oven at 375º until done. You can poke them with a tester to see when they are done. Do not boil them, as they will be watery. Slice them lengthwise.

Once they are done and cooled, them remove the peels and throw the peels away.

In a skillet on the stove, combine butter, water, sugar, syrup, cinnamon red hearts, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil. Cook over low heat until the syrup is a little thick. Put in the sliced sweet potatoes and simmer until the sweet potatoes shine - about 15 minutes.

These freeze well.
