Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2-4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
dash pepper
4 cups tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 cup lentils, washed and sorted for stones
brown rice, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef with onion and garlic. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 1 hour or until lentils are soft. Serve over coked brown rice.

I like to do this in the crockpot. After the beef, onions, and garlic have been sauteed add it all to your crockpot. Cook on low 8 hours or low 4-6. Serve with cheddar cheese on the side.
