2 lb. fresh green beans
1/2 cup cold water
1/3 cup onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
Vegetable oil cooking spray
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp.dried basil
1/2 tsp. oregano

• Rinse green beans and snap off tips. Place green beans in a large pot
and add 12 cup of cold water.
• Cook the green beans on the stovetop over medium heat for 10 minutes.
• Spray a separate pan with cooking spray.
Sauté onion and garlic for 5 minutes, or until they are tender and very lightly browned.
• Add the onion, garlic, and black pepper to the green beans.
Spray cooking spray over the mixture and cook on medium heat for another 20 minutes,
or until the green beans are tender but not soft. Stir occasionally.
• Sprinkle dried basil and oregano over the green beans. Mix and serve.
