1½ cups sifted flour
1 cup candied cherries
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
2 cups chopped nuts
1½ tsp baking powder
3 eggs
½ tsp salt
1 pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup dates

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour, salt, baking powder and vanilla. Add fruit and nuts. Bake in greased and lined loaf pan 1½ hours at 325º. Do not cut until COLD.

Scrumtious. Even if you don’t like fruitcake, you may well like this bread.
