1½ cups sugar
½ cup light corn syrup
¼ cup butter
1 tbsp flour
3 eggs
1 cup pecans (chopped or left as halves)
1 tsp vanilla
pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Dry the pie crust in a 350º oven for 3-5 minutes. Combine flour and sugar then pour in syrup and melted butter and stir until well-mixed. Stir in eggs and vanilla then fold in the nuts. Pour into pie shell and bake until pie is set and pecans are toasted, about 40 min (the top no longer jiggles but watch closely and do not overbake).

Note: you can add 2 tbsp good bourbon, but Big Mama wouldn’t let us get by with that.
