Pie:
4 apples, peeled and sliced (Granny Smith or Winesap)
2 eggs beaten
1¼ cups sugar
1 tbsp (rounded) flour
1 stick margarine
1 tsp cinnamon (or apple pie spice)

Crust:
2 cups sifted flour (self-rising)
⅔ cup milk
¼ cup salad oil

Combine all ingredients and stir vigorously until mixture leaves side of bowl. Gather dough and press into a ball. Knead dough + 10 times to make smooth. Divide dough in half. On floured cloth or covered board, roll each half into a 13” circle. Makes a great crisp crust!

Pie:
Mix flour, sugar and cinnamon. Toss the eggs and the apples, then the flour mix. Pour in pie crust and dot with butter. Put on top crust (or lattice) and bake at 350º about 1 hour.
