Single crust pastry ( I use Pillsbury but you can make your own)
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c dark corn syrup (I use Karo)
2/3 c sugar
1/3 c melted butter ( if you use unsalted add a dash of salt to recipe)
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 c toasted pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare pastry and place in 9 inch pie plate.
Combine eggs, corn syrup, sugar, buttter and vanilla. Mix well, then add pecans and stir.
Place in pastry shell.
Cover edges with foil.
Bake @350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Remove foil, and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
Cool on a wire rack.
