2 boxes powdered sugar (about 8 cups)
2 sticks butter - melted
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk (Eagle Brand)

About 80 Maraschino cherries - drained.
Note: There are about 40 cherries in a 16 oz. jar.

1 package (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 bar paraffin wax - broken into small pieces

Directions:

Mix together the sugar, butter and milk. If it is too sticky to handle, then add more powdered sugar.

Be sure the cherries are well drained. Center a cherry in the middle of a ball of the mixture. Chill.

Melt chocolate and paraffin in a double boiler. Dip balls in the mixture Place on wax paper to dry.

If you run out of cherries and still have more of the sugar, butter, and milk mixture, then just add chopped nuts and coconut to it and make Mounds with the rest.
