1 stick Butter or Margarine
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil (can use Canola oil)
2 squares Unsweetened Choclate (or 4T cocoa)
1 cup water
2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Sola
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 cups Sugar
1/2 cup Sour Milk
2 Eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon cinnamon, optional
Directions:
Directions:
preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butter, oil, chocolate, and water in saucepan, heat until chocolate is melted. Combine flour, soda, sugar, milk, eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla in large bowl, then combine with first mixture. Pour batter into greased 12x18 cake pan or jelly roll pan.

Bake 20-25 minutes or until done.

Frosting:
1 stick butter, 4 T cocoa or 2 blocks unsweetened chocolate, 7 T milk. Bring to boil then add 1 pound confectioner sugar, 1 t. vanilla and 1 cup chopped nuts. Mix until smooth and spread on cake while it is still hot.

While cake is baking start the frosting by combining the base and getting it melted together.

This is Grandma Mahan's recipe that everyone loves so. The key is getting the frosting on while the cake is still hot.
