1 c. peanut butter
1 # box of powdered sugar
1 stick butter, softened
1 large package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 t. shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the peanut butter, sugar and butter with mixer. Roll into 1" size balls. Chill for 25 minutes.

In the meantime: Melt 1 large bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 t. shortening.
Dip balls in with a toothpick or spoon to coat. Don't try to cover them completely. Leave a circle of peanut butter showing so they look like real buckeyes. Set on wax paper. Chill in refrigerator if you are impatient to eat them!

These treats are called Buckeyes because they look like Buckeyes! Buckeyes are worthless nuts that grow on trees.....especially in Ohio....the Buckeye State.
