Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups scalded milk, cooled
2/3 c. warm water
6 tbsp. sugar, divided
2 cubes butter or 1 c. crisco shortening
2 eggs, beaten
6 - 7 c. bread flour
2 tsp. salt
2 yeast cakes or 1 Tbsp.

Directions:
Directions:
Add 2 tsp. of sugar to 2/3 c. warm water and dissolve yeast. In a separate bowl mix remaining sugar, cooled milk, shortening, salt and beaten eggs. Add dissolved yeast. Blend in 3 cups of bread flour and beat well. Add 3 more cups of flour, and more if necessary. Let stand covered in a greased or sprayed bowl for 30 minutes. Knead, roll out and cut into desired shapes. Bake 375º for 20 minutes. I start at 400º until the rolls begin to brown, and then turn to 350º.

*Can use regular flour if no bread flour is available. Bread flour, makes rolls or bread softer.

This recipe also makes good cinnamon rolls. Allow dough to rise for 1 hour on cookie sheet. Brush top with melted butter after taking out of oven.

Personal Notes:
This was the recipe for the famous rolls that Barbara made every Sunday. All the kids in the neighborhood would come over to have her rolls. The family enjoyed her rolls with a cup of her hot "Waldram's Tomato Juice".
