1½ c. flour
¾ c. brown sugar or ½ c. brown and ¼ c. white
½ c. butter or margarine
1 10.03-oz. can mixed nuts
½ c. white syrup
2 T. butter
6-oz. package butterscotch chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, combine the flour and sugar. Cut in ½ cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes and then cool for 10 minutes. Pour mixed nuts on the crust. Make topping by melting together the white syrup, 2 tablespoons butter, and butterscotch chips (low heat). Pour over crust and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cut while they are still a little warm, or they will be very hard to cut.
