3-4 cans minced clams (save liquid)
½-1 lb. bacon
8 cups cubed potatoes
1 c. diced onions
1 ½ c. diced celery
2 c. heavy whipping cream
3 c. water
½ c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon, crumble, Save a T. of bacon grease for flavor. Add clam liquid & bacon grease in a big pot.
Add 3 C. water, potatoes, onion & celery to pot & cook until fork tender.
Add clams & whipping cream, stirring continually to mix well.
To thicken, mix flour or cornstarch to ½ c. milk to make smooth paste. Add slowly while simmering. Once thickened take off heat. Don’t let boil too long, it will scorch easily. Add pepper to taste, but taste it before adding salt.
