2 c self-rising cornmeal
2 eggs
1 pinch salt
1 small red pepper
1 small green pepper
½ c oil
1 c buttermilk
1 hot pepper (use these to decorate the top; each square when cut will have a hot pepper on top)
1 can cream corn
1 c grated cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º.
2. Mix all ingredients.
3. Pour into 9x13 pan.
4. Bake for 40 minutes - do not over bake.

If you don’t like hot peppers – omit them from the top of the recipe.
If you like hot foods - add some hot peppers to the mixture before baking.
