1 lb. Macaroni
1 3/4 cups milk
3/4 cup heavy cream
8 tablespoons of butter (1 stick), sliced so it melts easier in the cooked macaroni
4 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and Pepper to taste

Topping:
4 tablespoons of butter, softened
1 cup dry (plain) bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Boil macaroni in lightly-salted water until al dente (8-10 minutes) and then drain.

Add the butter to the macaroni in a large bowl.

Mix the macaroni and butter together with the remaining ingredients and then pour the mixture into a lightly greased 9 X 13 baking dish.

Mix together the topping and then sprinkle it on top. Cover with foil and bake covered for 35 minutes.

Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes.
