2 onions diced
4 strips bacon diced
Heaping spoonful minced garlic (or to taste)
2 Tbl butter
1 cup marsala cooking wine
1 spoonful of fresh thyme
3 large packages of fresh sliced mushrooms
1 large container of chicken stock
4 beef bouillon cubes
Heavy cream
1 to 2 cans of drained green beans (or fresh or frozen) the amount depends on how many you want
Salt and pepper to taste
French fried onions

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onions, garlic and bacon in butter on low for 3 hours. Add wine and thyme, simmer for 30 minutes. Add mushrooms and Cook on medium until all the liquid is cooked down.

I use 3 big spoonfuls of flour and stir it in until the white color is gone. Add bouillon cubes and stir until dissolved. Whisk in stock and stir until smooth and thick. Add heavy cream and let it simmer for 20 mins. Let it cool down and put it in the fridge until l the next day.

Top with French onion and bake at 350 for 25 minutes 25.

The sauce without the green beans and fried onions and one spoonful of flour can be used to schnitzel or pork or noodles.
