Cake
2 sticks butter
¼ C cocoa
1 C water
2 C sugar
2 C flour
2 eggs
½ C buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda

Icing
1 stick butter
¼ C cocoa
⅓ C milk
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Step 1
In a saucepan combine: 2 sticks butter, ¼ C cocoa, 1 C water. Bring to a rolling boil stirring constantly.

Step 2
In a large mixing bowl combine: 2 C sugar, 2 C flour. Mix the hot mixture from step 1 and beat well.

Step 3
In a medium bowl combine: 2 eggs, ½ C buttermilk, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp soda

Mix into the above mixture and beat well. Mixture will be runny. Pour into greased and floured Jelly roll pan. 17x11x1 Bake in a 375º oven for 20 minutes

Icing
About 5-6 minutes before the cake is done, mix the icing
In a saucepan mix: 1 stick butter, ¼ C cocoa, ⅓ C milk, 1 tsp vanilla. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Put 1 box confectioner's sugar in a mixing bowl, add the hot mixture and beat very well. May put nuts into the icing if desired. Spread over the hot cake. Cool completely and cut into squares.
