Dough
3 C flour
1 C shortening
1 C ice water
1 tsp salt

Filling
2 - 2½ lbs. hamburger seasoned with
1 pkg dry Lipton soup
salt to taste
2 medium potatoes cut in small chunks
1 medium diced onion
Season as desired to taste

Make the dough the day before and refrigerate in order that it will roll better

Filling

Mix potato, meat and onions all together. Roll out dough like for pie thickness to twice size of you pastie loaf. Lay the meat, potato, onion mixture on middle half of the dough and place pats of butter on top of meat. Then bring dough together in middle of top and seam. Close ends of dough. Bake on a cookie sheet first in a hot oven for approximately 15 min. to set dough, then reduce heat to approximately 325º for 1 hour. Can be served with beef gravy
