4 whole bell peppers - either green or red
1 lb. ground chuck
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1/2 c. chopped onion
8 oz. tomato sauce
1/4 t. oregano
1/4 t. basil
1/4 t. thyme
1 t. beef bouillon
salt and pepper
tomato juice as needed

Directions:
Directions:
Cut of the tops off of the peppers and pull out the seeds and membrane. Save the tops.

Combine all of the rest of the ingredients. Use your hands to mix it well. Pack the stuffing into the peppers and replace the tops. Stand the peppers up in a deep kettle and almost cover with tomato juice. Cook over medium heat for 90 minutes. Baste occasionally with the juice.
