Ingredients:

1 cup raw peanuts
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup white syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 generous tsp real butter
1 1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Microwave directions-times may vary according to speed of microwave.

In 2 quart glass bowl, add peanuts, sugar, syrup and salt. Cook on High 3 minutes. Take out and stir well. Put back in and cook on high 3 more minutes until all bubbly. Take out and add vanilla and butter. Microwave on high 2 more minutes. The bubbly mixture should be a nice golden brown. If not, let it cook another 30-60 seconds. Take out and add baking soda. Stir mixture together gently to mix. Do not stir it too hard or long since bubbles make it easier to eat. Quickly pour it out on buttered cookie sheet. Cool and break into pieces.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Aunt Mary May gave this recipe to me in the 1990s and I have been making it ever since because it is so easy to make. I have had to adjust times with the different models of microwaves I have owned but paying attention to color of syrup at the different times ingredients are added helps a lot.
