1 stick butter or margarine
2 cups self-rising flour
2 cups sugar
2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cans peach slices with juice (OR 2 cans drained peaches with 1/2 cup of juice reserved)
Additional sugar to sprinkle on top, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Put margarine in 9X13 pan. Put pan in oven to melt margarine. Remove from oven. Mix sugar, flour and milk until well blended. Stir vanilla into batter. Pour into pan with melted butter. Pour peaches on top of batter, pour juice on top of batter mixture, Do not stir. Sprinkle sugar on top, if desired. Bake 30-40 minutes, until golden brown.

From Pat Neal, Curtis’ mother-in-law. She used all of the peach juice, so that’s up to individual preference. This is my go to for peach cobbler.
