2-3 large potatoes grated
1 medium onion grated
1 lb ground beef
salt
pepper
2 tsp. turmeric
dry seasoned bread crumbs
vegetable oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Combine potato, onion, ground beef, salt, pepper and turmeric. Mix well. Shape into small patties. Roll in seasoned bread crumbs. Fry in oil. Drain. Patties can be served warm or cool.

Serve on pita bread with a salad made of flat leaf parsley, sliced radishes, green onion, and sliced tomato.

This is my brother-in-law Dari's recipe. Can be served with salad dressing. I like a lemon and olive oil dressing. These are great sandwiches instead of cold cuts.
