2 c raw spiral pasta
1 tsp salt
1 lb Italian sausage
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
4 oz sliced mushrooms
26 oz spaghetti sauce
1/2 c sour cream
1/2 lb American cheese, cubed
2 c shredded Mozzarella cheese

Bring water to boil in a very large pot. Add pasta and salt. Boil, uncovered, for 8 minutes.

While pasta is cooking, cook sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and cook 2 minutes. Add mushrooms and spaghetti sauce. Reduce heat to medium, cover and simmer 15 minutes.

Drain pasta. Place in a large bowl and stir in sour cream In a large casserole dish, add half the pasta. Spoon half the sauce over. Top all of the American cheese. Add rest of pasta and the rest of the sauce. Top with Mozzarella cheese.

Cover and bake at 350 F for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake another 5 minutes. Allow to cool 10 minutes before serving.
