1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. butter, cut into pieces
1/4 to 1/3 c. cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Use a pastry blender to combine flour, salt, shortening and butter until pea-size pieces. Sprinkle 1 T. water over part of the flour mixture; toss with a fork. Push moistened pastry to side and repeat using 1 T. water at a time until flour mixture is moistened. Knead gently until pastry holds together. Roll out on a slightly floured surface and fit into pie pan.
