5 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 c. sour cream
6 oz. cream cheese, softened
3 T. butter
salt, pepper
1 t. onion salt

Directions:
Directions:
Place potatoes in large kettle. Cover with water, bring to boil. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until very tender. Drain well.

In a large mixing bowl, mash potatoes. Add sour cream, cream cheese, 2 T. butter, salt, onion salt and pepper. Beat until fluffy. Transfer to a greased 2 qt. baking dish. Dot with remaining butter. Bake uncovered at 350 for 20-25 min.

This is a great recipe because it can be assembled the night before. It's a throwback to when women actually prepared a big Sunday dinner. It was tricky, because you were at church for several hours before this meal was to be served! This recipe is great because it can be all ready to just put in the oven as soon as you walk in the door from church. Pull it out and bake it for 35-40 min or until heated through.
