Directions:
Cream butter, sugars, oil, eggs, and water together until fluffy. Add in soda, cream of tarter, and salt until mixture is fluffy and white. Add flour one cup at a time and mix until incorporated.
Scoop 2-inch balls of dough and place onto baking sheet with parchment paper. Place 1/2 cup of sugar on a plate. Spray the bottom of a small glass with cooking spray and dip into the sugar. Take the sugar coated glass and smash each cookie until it just starts to show around the sides of the glass. (Dip the glass in sugar before smashing each cookie). Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes, they should still look pale in color when done cooking. Cool on wire rack before frosting.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Another variation I like to do with these cookies is to make fruit pizzas. I use a cream cheese frosting with 4oz softened cream cheese, 2 tbsp softened butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tsp milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla, and 1/2 tsp lemon zest. And then top with any variety of fruit.
