3 cups all-purpose flour
3 T sugar
4 1/2 tsp,. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 stick butter, cut into pieces
2 cups milk or light cream
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Butter cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Blend well. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Add milk; stir just until moistened. Gently stir in cheese and green onions.

To form each biscuit, drop dough by tablespoons onto buttered cookie sheets. Bake at 375º for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown. Serve warm.
