2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cups butter or shortening
5 egg yolks, well beaten
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
5 egg whites, beaten until stiff

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare bundt or tube pan by carefully greasing and flouring.

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and beat until light and fluffy. In a small bowl, whisk flour and baking powder together. Add flour and milk alternately to butter mixture. Add vanilla. Mix until smooth. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.
