1 large onion cut into 1/4 slice, 1 cup of milk, 1 and 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup of bread crumbs, seasoned salt, 1 quart of oil for frying, 1 tsp of baking powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 egg

Heat the oil in a deep-fryer to 365 degrees. Separate the onion slices into rings. Stir the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Coat the onion slices into the flour mixture. Whisk the egg and milk into the flour mixture. Dip the rings into the batter to coat, then hang on a wire rack until the excess batter has dripped off. Spread the dry crumbs onto a flat surface. Place the rings onto the crumbs to coat, and scoop the crumbs onto the top. Deep fry the rings a few at a time for up to 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown. Place on paper towels and season to serve.
