1 cup buttermilk
1t soda
2 cups sugar
2t corn syrup
2T butter
1t vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Add soda to buttermilk in a 4 quart pan. Stir well and let stand 1 minute. Add sugar, corn syrup and butter. Cook to the soft ball stage (236-238º). Add vanilla and nuts. Beat until it begins to thicken. Drop by teaspoonfuls.
