1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup margarine
3 tbsp. hot water
1 tsp. each of baking soda & vanilla
2½ cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve the baking soda in the hot water. Mix the ingredients together. Let stand & chill in a fridge (overnight if possible). Roll cookie dough to desired thickness. Cut out cookies & place them on a non-stick cookie sheet. Place in a pre-heated oven & bake at 350º F until brown. Remove the cookies from the cookie sheet & let cool. Spread the desired type of jam on the cookie sheet side of the cookie & place a second cookie, cookie sheet side of the cookie on the jam. Continue until all of the cookies have been placed together.
