1 head iceberg lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
2 cups celery, chopped
2 T. fresh parsley, chopped fine
4 green onions with tops, sliced
2 11-oz. cans mandarin oranges, drained
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup butter

Dressing:
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup salad oil
1/4 cup tarragon vinegar
pinch of pepper
1/2 tsp. Tabasco

Directions:
Directions:
Toast almonds in butter in a 350º oven until golden borwn - watch carefully or they'll burn. Toss salad ingredients in a large serving bowl. Combine dressing ingredients, mixing well, and toss with salad. Sprinkle toasted almonds over the top and serve immediately.
