1 cup butter (no substitutes),
softened
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup crushed peppermint
candy
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup corn starch

Frosting:
Confectioners sugar
Crushed peppermint

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar, crushed candy and vanilla thoroughly in mixer. Gradually blend in flour & corn starch. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on parchment paper or greased cookie sheet. Flatten each cookie using hands or a glass dipped in sugar. (Not too flat.)

Bake in a preheated 300º oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until bottoms begin to brown. Cool and remove.

To frost, make a thin powdered sugar frosting and drizzle over cookies. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint.
