4 cups flour
1 cup butter or oleo
2/3 cup milk
1 tsp. sugar
1 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water
4 egg yolks, beaten
2 1/2 or 3 cans cherry pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour and butter until crumbly. Set aside. In a saucepan, scald milk and sugar, cool.

Separate four eggs. (Whites are not used.) Dissolve yeast in warm water and beaten egg yolks. Add wet ingredients (scalded milk mixture and yeast mixture) to the dry. Roll 1/2 of dough out and put in bottom of cookie sheet (jelly roll pan). Spread with cherry pie filling. Roll out rest of dough and put on top of fruit. Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 375º for 35 minutes. Frost while warm. Other fruit can be used instead of cherries.
