2 lbs. hamburger
1 L onion, chopped
2 c water
3/4 c ketchup
1 T chili powder
1 t dry mustard

Brown meat with onion. In a saucepan, combine the other ingredients except for the mustard. Bring to boil and let simmer until meat is cooked. Combine the two and add the mustard. Serve on hamburger buns.

We all called these "Sloppy Joes". One of the many meals we had around Grandma's kitchen table, eating these with Old Dutch potato chips or Green Giant sweet corn. Delicious but messy. Freezes well.
