2 c. (8 oz.) elbow macaroni
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2½ c. milk
2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (or a combo of any cheeses)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Blend in flour, salt and pepper; gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and mixture begins to boil. Add cheese; stir until cheese is melted. Place both pasta and cheese sauce in a casserole dish and stir together until well mixed. Bake 30 minutes or until bubbly.
