1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup mashed bananas
1 3/4 cups rolled oatmeal
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift all dry ingredients together. Cream butter and sugar. Add 1 egg, beat well. Add bananas, oatmeal, nuts. Add flour mixture and mix well. Drop on ungreased pan. Bake 375º for 8-10 minutes.

Aunt Elma made these often. As a little girl I remember she sewed many dresses for me and while fitting the dresses she would have these cookies on a tray. The picture is of Aunt Elmie, Uncle Bertie meeting my son Travis for the first time.
