Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When mom would make these she would divide dough and add different chips, nuts or coconut so we had a variety of cookies. A note says that this recipe came from a rancher’s wife where dad picked up cattle to bring home. From mom’s memory book she wrote “ Grandpa Holmes always let us ride the Work horses and sit on a 3 legged stool and help milk the cows in the barnyard. I was born at my Grandmother and Grandfather Holmes farm which was northeast of Lancaster. A doctor from Lancaster delivered me.”
