Ingredients: * 2 2/3 Tbsp Corn Starch * 1 tsp Butter * 2/3 cup sugar * 1 cup pineapple Juice (reserved from canned pineapple) * 3 Eggs Beaten * 1 cup Boiling Water

Directions:In a large sauce pan mix together cornstarch and sugar, then stir in pineapple juice, beaten eggs and butter. Slowly add the boiling water and cook until mixture is thick. Set aside and cool. |

Ingredients: * 1 - 8 oz package Cool Whip Topping * 2 - (15 oz) Cans Pineapple tidbits, drained (reserve juice for sauce) * 2 - (11 oz) Cans Mandarin Oranges, drained * 4 cups Mini Marshmallows Plain or Colored * 1 - 10 oz jar Maraschino Cherries, drained

Directions:Fold Cool Whip into cooled fruit sauce and stir in all the drained fruits and marshmallows. Best if refrigerated for 12 hours. Note: 1) This is a very old family recipe. Marie Anne doubled it many times. 2) If there is not enough pineapple juice, add water to make up the difference.

Notes: Marie Anne would make this salad for special family dinners and whenever she was on the funeral lunch committee at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dayton Minnesota. When the kids came home from school and she was making this salad they would ask her "who died now".
